Final Asset Packaging & Saving Standards

After completing all technical configurations—including Skin Weight, Cloth Layer Settings, Hide Body Mesh, Auto Hide Mesh (via Internal Tool), and Conform/Non-Conform metadata—and verifying visual quality (mesh silhouette and texture fidelity), proceed with final packaging.

The final commercial asset must include:

  • Main Asset File
  • .ccCloth
  • .ccShoes
  • .ccGloves
  • .ccAcc
  • Style / Material File
  • .iMtlPlus

Main Asset Configuration (CC Cloth / Acc / Shoes / Gloves)

Before saving the Main Asset, verify all settings in the Modify panel.

Texture & Material Settings

Shader Type

  • Must be set to PBR

Required Texture Maps

  • Base Color
  • Normal
  • Ambient Occlusion (AO)
  • Metallic
  • Roughness

Optional Texture Maps

  • Glow (emissive effects)
  • Opacity (lace, ripped fabric, transparency)

Color Settings

  • Diffuse Color and Ambient Color must be set to Pure White (RGB: 255, 255, 255)

Normal Map Settings

  • Flip Normal Y must be unchecked by default

Texture Strength

  • All texture channels must remain at default value: 100

Other Settings

  • Keep all remaining parameters at default unless an intentional artistic override is required

Resource Map Configuration

Standard clothing assets only require the Texture Settings above. Resource Maps are only needed for advanced workflows.

FashionGen (2025) Workflow

  • Color ID map is mandatory
  • Curvature map is recommended (optional)
  • Automatically detected from Resource Map slots

Legacy Material Support (MAT3 / MAT5 / MAT7 – Appearance Editor) If enabled, load full Mesh Data Maps:

  • Height
  • Normal
  • Color ID
  • World Space Normal (WS Normal)
  • Ambient Occlusion (AO)
  • Curvature
  • Position

Material Plus (.iMtlPlus) Saving Guidelines

Use a Single UV / Single Material structure unless otherwise required. (Reallusion Material Plus Wiki)

Saving Protocol

  • Pre-Save Check
    • Main Asset must pass:
      • Visual quality validation
      • File size optimization (Note 1)
      • Texture format compliance
  • Naming Consistency
    • Mesh Name must match Material Name exactly
  • Multiple Styles
    • Append numeric suffix for variations:
      • Shirt_01.iMtlPlus
      • Shirt_02.iMtlPlus
